City of Providence War Memorial

The City of Providence War Memorial was originally located outside the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. When it was decided to renovate the building in 2005, the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority felt it was the perfect opportunity to relocate the memorial to a more prominent site. The Authority took great care in dismantling the memorial and safely storing it until a new site was located.

Today, the City of Providence War Memorial is located at 15 LaSalle Square in downtown Providence and is a tribute to Providence veterans who sacrificed their lives in World War ll, Korea, and Vietnam.
